Biography
Originally from Washington, D.C., Lucas was introduced to the performing arts world through his older sister when asked if he wanted to take a dance class at her studio. He ended that day in the middle of a circle, attempting his best in hip-hop and thus beginning his journey as a dancer. Growing up in the competitive dance scene at Studio Bleu in Virginia, he fell in love with the ability to express himself through movement and eventually, sound.
Lucas gravitates toward tap and street styles like hip hop and street jazz. At 12 years old, he was given the opportunity to tell his first full story on stage in A Christmas Story: The Musical on tour. 6 years later and Lucas took this passion across state lines to Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where he studied Musical Theatre under Broadway Veterans and other notable influences in the industry.
Lucas is an artist who thrives on spontaneity and playfulness. He has a passion for both dramatic and comedic work, especially those involving dance. In addition to performing, Lucas thrives as a 10+ time award-winning choreographer and teacher in the competitive dance scene.
